France: positive 2004 for opticians

France's FCGA (Fédération des Centres de Gestion Agréés) has published data from the Small Enterprise Observatory regarding the fourth quarter of 2004 and the whole of 2004.

Overall, the year closed with growth of 3.1%. Specifically, the services sector came in first place, with growth of 10.7% (and a record peak of 19.7% for real estate agencies). The building (+5.6%) and car (+4.7%) sectors came next.

In fourth position, the 'health' segment grew by 4.6%, with pharmacies recording the best performance (+4.6%) ahead of opticians (+3.7%).
