Italian exports to Turkey doing well

Ice Istanbul has published data on commercial trading with Turkey for the first five months of 2005.

Italy is the third supplier after Germany and Russia and is even at second place after Germany for overall trading.

In the period January-May 2005, 'Made in Italy' exports stood at +9.5% compared to the same period 2004, and imports grew by more than 34 percentage points.

However, competition from China is also beginning to be relevant in Turkey which recorded a hefty increase in export growth rate (+55% compared to January-May 2004).
