Look grows with Made in Italy

Look grows with Made in Italy

The fairly unsettled time for fashion companies in the Veneto region does not seem to have affected Look of Longarone (Belluno). With 200 employees, a yearly production of 300-350 thousand items, 70% of which are exported, it has been able to increase its billings by 40% since 2000 (around 15 million euros).

Headed by Enrico Tormen, the company has not followed the trend of producing famous fashion labels under license, but has continued to focus on its own brands and carries out the entire manufacturing cycle from design to production and assembly. 'The objective was to put across to final consumers the quality of a product that is followed at every stage', Tormen explained to Milano Finanza, 'and in the medium-long term it has produced results'.

This strategy has led to a series of advantages such as strong customer loyalty, especially in foreign markets which can count on a historical warehouse where every spare part can be found. A competitive advantage particularly for anyone working in the less fashion-conscious German-speaking markets, which prefer a product to be reliable and sound.
