MotoGP: satisfaction for Carrera at Barcelona
Double satisfaction for Carrera after the Grand Prix in Catalunya: with the second place in Barcelona, Casey Stoner is now in second place in the 250 cc general driver classification, while he continues the successful collaboration with the Safilo Group and Dorna, the company that handles the commercial and television rights for MotoGP.
The Carrera eyewear collection is the MotoGp sunglasses supplier for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. All Dorna staff on the tracks and in the boxes, wear Carrera sunglasses. Designed by Enzo Sopracolle and Sergio Borsato and with quality guaranteed by the Safilo Group, Carrera eyewear has been chosen because of its functionality and exclusive design, which reflects a highly sporty personality but without neglecting the latest fashion trends.
The agreement with Dorna also envisages that during the most spectacular European stages (Jerez, Estoril, Mugello, Barcelona, Sachsenring and Valencia), Carrera will be in the public areas with special inflatable structures for welcoming spectators.
The Carrera stations have been especially designed to provide contact points between the public, MotoGp and the Safilo sports brand. At the last Grand Prix in Catalunya, the initiative attracted a large crowd; the lucky ones were able to enter the Carrera reserved areas to be photographed in the paddock with the drivers.
