New products for Pringle

Pringle, the historical Scottish brand, is preparing for a new three-stage route: strengthen creativity and develop retail and licenses so that it can launch an ad hoc line in Milan next September at the event to celebrate its 190 years.

Also to be inaugurated in September at Taipei is the first store dedicated to the Red line, a collection which joins the Gold and Golf labels.

The re-launch process began in March 2000 with the acquisition of the brand by Kenneth Fang, president of S.C Fang & Sons, the leading knitwear production company based in Hong Kong, and the appointment of Kim Winser as general manager.

As well as showrooms in London, Milan, New York and Tokyo, Pringle has opened a retail division and inaugurated stores on London's Bond Street and Sloane Street, at Heathrow Terminal 3, in Tokyo and in Asia.

'Pringle has much potential for development in different sectors', general manager Kim Winser told Milano Finanza Fashion. 'For example, we are considering producing eyewear and watches. We have had several contacts for the development of cosmetics'.

Lastly, a few days ago, there was a meeting with a possible partner for the production of a childrenswear collection.
