Positive Mido for Sola Sunlens

The first reckoning after the exhibition closed confirms the great interest in the two new ideas presented by Sola Sunlens at Mido 2005: V-Technology and the new collection of Muver photochromic lenses.

V-Technology is the exclusive platform patented by Sola Sunlens which permits the design of innovative lenses with superior optical performance. Both the V4-20 lens, on the market for about a year and already chosen by fashion and sports brands for their top models, and the all-new VooDoo one-piece lens, have been created thanks to V-Technology. VooDoo is the first one-piece lens with total absence of prism, blur, spherical strength and astigmatism on most of the surface.

Visitors to the Sola Sunlens stand at Mido were able to checkout and appreciate V-Technology's superior optical characteristics by means of innovative interactive software which allowed them to experience the perfect vision provided by VooDoo and V4-20 compared to standard lenses.

There was also huge interest in the new Muver photochromic lenses because of the speed at which they change from the inactive to the active state (and vice-versa), the duration of the photochromic effect and the transmission variation width from the inactive to the active state. This performance and the wide range of Muver colors were displayed at Mido on an interactive wall fitted with UV lamps which allowed visitors to try out Muver's characteristics.

The great interest in VooDoo and Muver lenses shown by customers at the exhibition has already been translated into numerous eyewear development projects which will be presented in the next collections.
