Preparations underway for Pzero eyewear
From Christmas 2005, the Pirelli line of clothing and accessories by Marco Tronchetti Provera, launched in 2002 and inspired by the historical tire brand's industrial design, will be sold in 45 outlets of the American luxury department store chain, Sacks, while Italy could see the first monobrand stores in 2006.
The growth plans do not concern exclusively distribution: after footwear (produced with Calendar), clothing (with Incom), bags (in collaboration with Sergiolin) and the watch (designed by Bulgari and produced by Sector), the creative team headed by Antonio Gallo, manager of the industrial design project, PZero Pirelli, is looking at eyewear. In fact the items that are most sought after by veteran car fans include Pirelli driving glasses.
