Safilo launches 'Imatra R.C., Inc.', Valentino Rossi eyewear

The Safilo Group has focused its technical and stylistic know-how on the development of a new and exclusive collection, 'Imatra R.C., Inc.': sunglasses with unmistakable style, which is why they've been chosen by a champion with a strong personality like Valentino Rossi, 'The Doctor'.

The 'Imatra R.C., Inc.' collection consists of some models in acetate, with their characteristic decisive lines and eye-catching colors. The large, wraparound shape has important temples where the name and the symbol of the collection stand out; both are either heat-printed in a silver color or laser engraved. The color range includes decisive black, spotted Havana, dark olive, blue and white.

Vittorio Tabacchi, Chairman of the Safilo Group, stated: 'The co-operation between Safilo Group, the 'Imatra R.C., Inc.' brand and Valentino Rossi will guarantee the success of the new collection'.

The collection will be distributed from May 2005 in Italy, Spain and Portugal; in the second half of the year it will also reach the other European countries and the rest of the world.
