Safilo to make Juicy Couture eyewear

Juicy Couture, the Californian brand by Pamela Skaist Levy and Gela Nash Taylor, has signed a licensing agreement with Safilo for the creation of sunglasses and eyeglasses on the American market.

The debut is due in spring 2006, but an early flash of the sunglasses models should be presented before end 2005, perhaps in November. For Safilo, the agreement will further strengthen the American market and will give new sprint to the accounts of the Californian brand, which aims to close 2005 with world wholesale billings of 200 million dollars (about 154 million euros), generated thanks to women's, men's and children's apparel.
