Success at Mido 2005 for Active Sport prototypes in Nxt

Many representatives of sector companies, designers and journalists were present, May 6th, at the official presentation at Mido of the new prototypes in Nxt, made by Intercast Europe together with Cried, the Research Center of the European Institute of Design in Milan.

Aurora*BasicDuring the event, Mr. Baiocchi, President of Intercast Europe, and Gianluca Giordano, director of the Ied Research Center, outlined the reasons and synergies behind their collaboration which, for the third year running, has led to the creation of the innovative Active Sport prototypes, Mido 2005 edition.

Made entirely from Nxt Soft, the Aurora*Basic and Aurora*Cube prototypes suggest an answer to the requirements of functionality and protection in sports such as sailing, cycling and skiing, and they guarantee safety and comfort for the wearer.

Aurora*CubeIn Aurora*Basic, lenses and frames blend to give extraordinary lightness and comfort. Aurora*Cube was designed to provide extreme modularity and offer the possibility of mounting soft or rigid, polarizing or photochromic lenses in Nxt. Moreover, the combination of materials whose flexibility is different means that maximum functionality can be achieved.

Once again, Nxt's extreme adaptability has fostered the desire to continue to explore the material's strong potential through research and innovation and to make the new and surprising results available to the optics industry.

Nxt is an Intercast Europe SpA registered trademark. The Aurora models are patented and they are the property of Intercast Europe SpA.
