+18% for Da Rigo Vision at end of first quarter
An excellent state of health for De Rigo Vision which achieved billings of 91.5 million euros in the first quarter of 2006.
The Belluno-based company that produces and internationally distributes high-quality sun and vision eyewear recorded +18%, which translates into a good +28.5% for Italy.
In general, the positive result is due to the overall increase in the brand portfolio and the significant contribution made by the new brands introduced in 2005: Chopard, Ermenegildo Zegna ,Escada , Jean Paul Gaultier.
Own-brands continue to grow, particularly Police which will be using Banderas for the new 2007 collection.
The positive trend characterized the majority of the world markets with particularly high growth rates for distributors in Korea, USA, Russia, Brazil and Scandinavia, and for the subsidiaries in Germany, Greece and the UK.
