1st edition of 'Persol Style Award' at Venice Film Festival
The Persol Style Award will debut at the 63rd Venice International Film Festival at its customary location at the Lido from August 30 through September 9.
The Italian eyewear brand, the undisputed benchmark for prestigious Made in Italy accessories, will award a director whose work at the Film Festival has conveyed the values of the Persol style.
A high-ranking panel will decide the Persol Style Award winner.
For this first edition, the panel will include personalities from the brand's various sectors of reference, such as cinema, journalism, design and contemporary and international culture: Alessandro Gassman, representing Italian movie talent, Michele Lupi, GQ Director of the CondeNast Group, Claudio Masenza, member of the selection committee for movies taking part in the 63rd Film Festival, and Pontus Walgren, senior industrial designer at IDEO, the leader of innovative design.
The Award ceremony, which will be held annually, will be presented September 9 in the Palazzo del Casinò Conference Hall and it will be open to press. The Persol jury, the Chairman of the Fondazione Biennale, Davide Croff, and Venice Film Festival Artistic Director, Marco Muller will take part in the ceremony.
