Another pink jersey for Smith

On Tuesday, May 23, Ivan Basso from Varese and leader of Denmark's CSC team sponsored by Smith Optics, kept leadership in the general classification by winning the sixteenth stage of the Tour of Italy, a 173-km route that started in Rovato and finished on the steep climb up Monte Bondone near Trento.

Ivan Basso pedaled at an unbelievable rhythm, crossing the finishing line at an altitude of 1,650 meters with an advantage of more than one minute. Another pink jersey and a victory at this first stage in the Dolomites seem to indicate that the Tour will definitely be won by Ivan Basso.

Also during this sensational stage the athlete wore Reactor Max and Reactor D Max sunglasses produced in personalized colors for the CSC team.

The 21-stage, 3,526.2 km Tour of Italy will end Sunday, May 28, in Milan.
