Antonio Banderas new testimonial for Police eyewear

Antonio Banderas is the new testimonial for the Police brand.

The famous Spanish actor was chosen by De Rigo to represent the characteristics of the sun and vision line owned by the company.

The announcement was made Wednesday, July 19 at Sun Day, the presentation event for the summer 2007 collection of eyewear held at Laguna Palace in Venice.

In addition to the president of De Rigo, taking part were Vision S.p.a., Ennio De Rigo, and the president of Givenchy, Marco Godetti, who talked about the fashion trends for 2007.

'I've been trying to avoid the cops all my life', Banderas jokingly commented in a video that was shown during the event, 'but Police caught up with me in the end!'

Banderas was chosen because of his warm, involving and attractive nature, and for his ability to talk to a wide and eclectic target ranging from the very young to forty-year-olds.

As well as the classical images that will be shown in outlets, the Banderas campaign will appear starting April 2007 in different formats depending on the country.
In the UK and Japan, for example, posters will be the main medium.

The agreement between De Rigo and Banderas has a duration of two years.
