Armani unveils new World Cup wardrobe for England
Giorgio Armani has unveiled his designs for the England Football team's new official 'off-field' wardrobe comprising a formal and a casual look for the upcoming World Cup Tournament in Germany.
The formal look is built around a sharp, dark navy blue two-button suit made from diagonal wool crepe. It has a slim silhouette with a structured shoulder and single back vent, and comes with narrow flat-front trousers. This is teamed with a fitted white shirt with a wide collar and a single cuff, and a baby blue, shiny-finish tie, brown leather belt with a silver buckle, and brown leather, lace-up, square-toed shoes. The casual look will combine the same slim trousers with a navy blue, short-sleeve three-button polo shirt and grey, wool round neck jumper. This outfit can be worn with, or without the suit jacket.
Giorgio Armani has also created a full range of accessories for the players, including socks, cufflinks (in silver, featuring squad numbers from 1-23), and watches. The players will also be issued with the new (Emporio Armani) RED sunglasses, which are part of the pioneering global business initiative, founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver, to raise money and awareness for the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. The team luggage is also from Emporio Armani and includes a black holdall bag, suit carrier, small trolley-bag for hand luggage, and a wash bag.
Fans will be able to buy a version of the made to measure formal suit (and its accessories) in Emporio Armani stores across the country.
The Officials who travel with the England team will also be dressed by Giorgio Armani.
