Bally eyewear on the home straight

Bally eyewear on the home straight

According to Finanza e Mercati, eyewear by Bally, the Swiss leather goods and apparel brand, is on the home straight. Everything seems ready for a license agreement to be signed with an Italian company and the collection could be launched already in 2007.

The group headed by Marco Franchini is also looking into the launch of a perfume. «For the time being', Franchini told Finanza e Mercati, 'we are exploring this possibility with some companies in the sector. But the feeling is that for perfumes we'll have to wait, at least until 2008'.

Among the other projects there is the reorganization of its owned outlets, including the monobrand store on Via Montenapoleone in Milan. 'This year', Franchini stated, 'we plan to reorganize the stores in Boston, Waikiki, Beijing, Sidney, Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Basle and Moscow'.

Bally forecasts that in 2006 turnover will grow by over 15% to around 350 million Swiss francs.
