Carrera Ski Racing Team: important results at the World Ski Championships 2005/2006

Anja Paerson and Maria José Rienda ContrerasLast weekend Aare, Sweden saw the 2005/2006 World Ski Championships come to a close. Now the Carrera Ski Racing Team can look back with satisfaction at the countless wins notched up in the various alpine ski events and at the impressive rankings achieved by the athletes who sported Carrera helmets and goggles on the top steps of the most coveted podiums.

Michael WalchhoferIn the women's championship, Sweden's Anja Paerson finished the season in an impressive 2nd place in the Final Standings, coming 1st in the Giant Slalom and 3rd in the Slalom, while Spain's Maria José Rienda Contreras skied to a superb 2nd place in the Giant Slalom and Austrian Alexandra Meissnitzer took 2nd place in the SuperG.

Hermann MaierThere were great results too in the men's championship, with Austrian Michael Walchhofer beating off all competition in the Downhill and his fellow countryman Hermann Maier taking 2nd place in the Super-G.

Carrera helmets and goggles, guaranteed by the experience and expertise of Safilo Group and fundamental for the athletes' safety during their superb performances, accompanied the Carrera Ski Racing Team throughout each event.
