Face à Face: summer 2006 collection

With its Sicil sunglasses collection and Elvis and Eden vision collections, Face à Face presents an extremely feminine vintage style and a return to the Sixties.

Sicil
The wraparound, protective curves of the four models in the Sicil line are a reinterpretation of the classic styles of vintage eyewear.
Oval and rectangular shapes are brought up-to-date by size and slight beveling, whereas colors range from cool summer shades of coral orange, Tahiti blue or fuchsia, to classical, and always fashionable, black and tortoise.
The sides and top of the frame are enriched with asymmetrical Swarovski crystals in matching shades which add a touch of femininity.

Elvis
In Elvis, an incredible play of cutting and faceting creates an oversize frame around the eyes, and deeply curved temples add a very sensual touch to this splendid collection.
The color range plays up contrasts: chocolate and lime, striped tortoise with orange, dark red with a lighter red. An almost imperceptible color combo completes the collection: black with a narrow red strip, or aquamarine with a spring-green strip.

Eden
Eden keeps its promise to make eyes the first element of seduction, a characteristic that is shared by all the Face à Face collections, and they feature new graphic applications and wraparound shapes.
The eyes are lighted up by the straight and curved lines in metal and by a appealing acetate decoration on the front piece.
Positive eye shapes express what's essential and allow a strong personality to shine through.

Design and technological innovation in the Face à Face collections have led to very interesting solutions, such as the family of vision glasses, Nueva, featuring an exclusive and patented hinge system.

Nueva
A new example of Face à Face research in the functional area is the new, smooth movement of the Nueva temple: a metal pin on a scaled-down cylinder allows the temple to move on its own axis.
All functional choices aim to make Nueva a reference model in the Face à Face style.
The contrast of pure size (the line of the front-piece and the cylindrical shape of the pin), associated with contrasting materials (acetate front-piece and metal temples) and the extreme flexibility of the temples represent a plus from the point of view of comfort and also ensure perfect fit.
