Founder of International Polarizer retires

Dr. Richard Phillips, founder of International Polarizer Inc. (IPI), has elected to retire from his current position as President of International Polarizer, that was acquired by PPG Industries in June 2005.

Christine Camsuzou, General Manager Optical Materials, PPG, will assume the responsibility for the International Polarizer activities. John Liebenguth, Director of Sales & Marketing, PPG, and Robert Wenzinger, Vice President of Operations, PPG, will report directly to Christine.

'Dr. Phillips' deep knowledge of the sunglass business and polarizing techniques and his contributions to the market are well known,' said Christine Camsuzou, PPG Industries, Inc. 'All have benefited greatly from his experience. Dr. Phillips deserves recognition for his entrepreneurial skills and his leadership at building a successful business from its inception'.
