'Hi-tech materials in sporting goods'
Material ConneXion Milan presents an exhibition of innovative materials incorporated in sports equipment.
In a panorama that includes various sports disciplines, the exhibition presents a cross-section of products from the most prestigious companies in the sports sector, which testify to how the use of increasingly leading-edge materials and production processes is indispensable for guaranteeing peak performance. The exhibition includes equipment, apparel and latest-generation devices for sport.
Briko was selected and entered in the list of international brands at the exhibition, precisely because of the huge capacity it has always had to believe and invest in research into state-of-the-art technologies applicable to its sports collections: helmets, snow goggles, glasses, snow, Nordic skiing, biking and multi-sport apparel, ski waxes and accessories.
The products on exhibit are:
-the Stratos snow helmet characterized by an external shell in carbon fiber pressed onto a sheet of aluminum to guarantee extreme lightness (it weighs only 450 grams), combined with strong resistance to shock confirmed by the numerous, scrupulous product tests. The temperature inside the helmet stays constant thanks to Briko's exclusive 'Air Thru Technology': Briko technicians created channels in Stratos' inner shell (polystyrene) through which the air entering the aeration holes on the front piece is ducted out through the holes in the rear taking heat and perspiration with it; this keeps the temperature comfortable and constant throughout use. A technical solution that means Stratos can be worn for many hours without creating problems for the athlete.
-the new multi-sport glasses, White Peak, were created for extreme sports. The frame in GRILAMID, a feather-light plastic that is tough, flexible and fitted with an elastic memory, ensures perfect grip on the face. The lenses are Thrama Summit (exclusive to Briko) which feature a high anti-UVA and UVB screen with a base 7 curve radius.
-the Performaniac Synthesis Jersey racing bike suit, 'skin wax', is the result of the Synthesis project that boasts higher levels of technology compared to other garments on the market because it combines the most innovative technologies to guarantee high performance. The aim is to create WF technology and seamless garments that are molded on the body. The other participating companies are:Adidas, Agv, Asacanoe AlessandrinI, Bianchi, Briko, Cinelli , Dalbello, Diadora, Fila,Fischer ,Grado Zero Espace ,Marcolin ,Mtech , Patagonia, Selle San Marco,Slam , Speedo,Vendramini .
