Louis Vuitton wins case against Google

Louis Vuitton wins case against Google

Google, the major Internet search engine, must pay Louis Vuitton 300-thousand euros for 'unfair competition and advertising and brand counterfeiting'.

The lawsuit against Google began when it proposed advertising services that allowed words like 'replica' or 'copy' to be associated with Louis Vuitton so that other advertising messages would appear at the same time as the brand's official website.

Also charged with displaying the websites of counterfeit products with the results of the search for Vuitton bags, the ruling against Google comes from the Court of Appeal in Paris, which awarded a 50% increase in damages in the first instance.
