Mido: upswing in business for VidiVici
At the 36th edition of Mido, the VidiVici Occhiali stand raised great interest among Italian and foreign buyers, not just clients, but also among many operators in the sector. Continuing attendance during the four days of the event demonstrated how the public appreciates the collections produced and distributed by VidiVici: Exalt Cycle, Exalt Cycle Kids, VVCigar, Mila Schön Eyewear, Billionaire Eyes, Il Blasco, Chronotech Vision and Sweet Years Occhiali.
Figures confirmed the trend: a 50% increase in orders compared to Mido 2005 and 30% against Silmo 2005; the acquisition of new markets with distribution to Kazakhistan, India and Bulgaria. A real upswing in the business of a company that is now present in over 50 countries worldwide.
The new Sweet Years Occhiali license was also well perceived. It was presented with a pre-collection of 5 sun and 4 vision models, which will be distributed to 150 outlets starting from September 2006.
Many celebrities from the sport and showbiz worlds also attended the fair: the VidiVici Occhiali Bologna basketball team and Marco Melandri, who has recently triumphed at the Turkish Grand Prix, Francesca Rettondini, Elena Santarelli, Diego Conte and Melissa Satta.
Press and TV coverage was also good: Tg1, Tg2 Costume e Società, TG5 and Vita in Diretta also focused on the new products presented by the company.
Lele Danzi, General Manager of VidiVici Occhiali, commented: 'We are really satisfied with the results. Our participation at Mido 2006 ended with an extremely positive balance, not only because of the growth in orders, but also because of the extensive approval and the contacts developed during the Milan fair. The positive results encourage us to continue our efforts on research and experimentation'.
