New developments for Visibilia

New developments for Visibilia

<

The main shareholder in Visibilia since May, Dan Levi, declared to Fashion Magazine that the company is about to enter into a new license agreement.

'In 2007, our portfolio will include an Italian brand that is completely new to the eyewear sector, but well-known in a certain other market segment', Levi explained. 'The objective for the next three-four years is to achieve revenues for an amount of 50 million thanks to Blugirl, the new license and another strong brand that is still to be acquired, although we want to grow with the right number of brands'.

At the last Mido, Visibilia presented the first Emanuel Ungaro collection and announced the Blufin agreement had been extended to include Blugirl. At the Milan fair, 40% of the orders came from abroad, Levi stated, 'higher than last year's edition, but many Italian opticians also placed orders at the fair, attracted mainly by Blumarine: the good work carried out on this brand has led to the birth of Blugirl, for which we have high expectations on a level with Ungaro'.

'We also intend to launch our own brand', Levi added, 'on the wave of the success we had with Chagall in the Nineties; but it has to be done at the right time so we are holding off for the time being. It must also have the strength of a brand and not a house-brand'.

Visibilia should close 2006 with billings of 30 million euros, 10% up on 2005.
