Pink Jersey for Smith

In the eight stage, from Civitanova Marche to Maielletta Passo Lanciano, Ivan Basso, leader of the Danish team Csc sponsored by Safilo's sport brand Smith Optics, attacked on the first mountain finish of the Giro d'Italia, winning the stage and conquering the pink jersey.

During the race the athlete wore Reactor Max and Reactor D Max sunglasses in the personalized Csc team colours.

The race will cross the finishing line in Milan on Sunday 28th of May, after 3.526,2 kilometers in 21 stages.
