Safilo on the podium with Jorge Lorenzo and Mika Kallio

The Road Race World Championship 2006 has started for Safilo Group in the best way possible: Carrera sunglasses, chosen by the most promising riders, are gaining victory on the podiums of the most exciting races.

At the Qatar Grand Prix, Jorge Lorenzo, a Carrera testimonial, conquered his second consecutive victory of the season, proving to be leader of the 250 cc class overall standing. The Spaniard has repeated the success achieved on the Jerez de la Frontera track, gaining the highest honors at Losail. Jorge Lorenzo is currently in command of the 250 cc class standing with 50 points.

Also at the Qatar Grand Prix, Finnish Mika Kallio, another Carrera testimonial, conquered second place in 125 cc, and is now at second place in the overall standing of his category, with 33 points.
