Silhouette and Adidas Eyewear onboard Discovery

At 8.38pm Italian time on July 4, the shuttle Discovery with a crew of seven on board was successfully launched from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral.

As usual, Silhouette and adidas eyewear will be with the astronauts during the mission.

The crew of the Discovery will spend 12 days in space testing new equipment that should increase the levels of safety on space shuttles.

Structures and materials for the future extension of the International Station were loaded on board and the astronauts will carry out some maintenance work on the station itself .

A demanding mission, and contributions to its success will certainly come from Silhouette and adidas eyewear, the glasses that have been chosen by NASA to accompany the astronauts on all their space missions and have received the prestigious 'Certified Space TechnologyTM' recognition.
