Smith triumphs at the Volta à Catalunya

Fabian Cancellara, athlete of Danish team Csc sponsored by Smith Optics, returned to racing after a month-long absence with a surprise win in stage one of the Volta à Catalunya on Monday the 15th of May, bringing Smith sunglasses once again onto the highest podium.

The Swiss raced a 12,6 kilometers time trial in 14 minutes and 55 seconds, at an average of 50,68 km per hour, becoming the leader in the general standing.

During the race Cancellara wore Reactor Max and Reactor D Max sunglasses in the personalized Csc team colours.

The race started on the 15th and will cross the finishing line in Barcelona on Sunday 21th of May, after 996,1 kilometers in 7 stages.
