A Chapter in the History of Eyewear is entitled 'Mido'

The historical transition from eyesight aid to fashion accessory began, for eyewear, in the Seventies. Forty years ago, gradually yet consistently, an object born for vision correction began to be perceived as something more than a simply useful device.

With a Show geared to innovation but without breaking with tradition, Mido wishes to pay homage to that history, not only with this evening's event, but also with a dedicated area in which its most important events can be relived.

A corridor set up in Viale Italia, with images and captions which refer back to the decades when eyewear as an accessory, along with the back then prevailing fashion trends and lifestyles, evolved and established itself as an aesthetically pleasing and harmonious device, which may be perfectly matched to our personal look or style, to help tell who we are, how we feel, what we want to express or communicate.

By entering the grounds through the East gate, before immersing themselves in exploring the show, where the present is already the future, visitors will be able to turn back time for a few minutes, remembering the 40 years of history over which Mido has been, and will continue to be, director, actor, and leading star.
