De Rigo and Furla still together until 2012

Furla, the well-known name in bags and fashion accessories with an unmistakable and essential style, has renewed for another 5 years the exclusive license agreement for its lines of sunglasses and vision frames with the De Rigo Group, the world leader of the design, production and distribution market for top-quality eyewear.

A partnership that will continue to make all-Italian elegance and class its mark of distinction.

Continuing until 2012, the license reconfirms the agreement that began in 2003. De Rigo will be responsible for the production and worldwide sale of the Furla eyewear collection, created in accordance with the style, image and materials chosen by the company in Bologna. Group president Ennio De Rigo commented: 'After the first 5 years of business, we have a streamlined team that can offer truly unique tailored design and production quality'.

With the renewal, De Rigo expects to see an increase in business of up to 30% and billings of 35 million euros in five years.

'The results achieved to date', said Giovanna Furlanetto, president and chief executive of Furla, 'will certainly be improved on creatively, because of the harmony achieved, and in terms of business, because of the continual evolution in world visibility that Furla has acquired'.

The success of the renewal is already looking at the future with the new 2008 collections, which promises to be exciting if the range of proposals for the spring/summer 2007 are anything to go by. Already on the market, they are young, fun and the peak of elegance, design and quality.
