FEINAR obtains the international SAS70 certification
A compulsory certification for companies operating on Wall Street, SAS70 is the latest acknowledgement received by Feinar - a federation formed by Assindustria, Unione Artigiani and Piccola Industria di Belluno. The Company was already UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certified and supplied salary management and auditing services to approx. 2,800 firms.
Long analysed by the American PriceWaterhouseCoopers - one of the four leading auditing firms in the international scene - that carried out process and product controls in the Company's Belluno branch, today Feinar prides in a further guarantee of service quality and accuracy, which have reached very high international standards.
The SAS70 certification first pleases the client Luxottica - Feinar provides Luxottica with salary management services processed by ultimate technological media.
Companies listed on Wall Street are required to comply with the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley Law, enacted following the Enron scandal. Thus, PriceWaterhouseCoopers' certification guarantees compliance with new market regulations. This acknowledgement certifies the quality and efficiency of both targeted salary cycle checks and of general information system controls.
The Federation formed by Assindustria, Unione Artigiani and Piccola Industria di Belluno obtained the certification by producing a methodical description of services, organisation, IT environment and processes carried out to issue salary management service and by accepting PriceWaterhouseCoopers' precise controls.
Feinar commits many organisational units to the salary management service: the Salary Department handles all operating phases of services supplied to a company; the Data Processing Centre handles the development of the operational system and of utilities, installs new software versions and provides ongoing assistance; and, the IT Assistance Service handles servers and network safety, besides supplying services over the Internet.
