Lights, sounds and colors in a breathtaking show

Welcome On Board Mido flight 2007, destination the future.

The opening evening of the Show was brought to an end, for the over one thousand guests, by an amazing show of lights, sounds and colors that lit up the whole area around the New Trade Fair Center, which not even the pouring rain could ruin.

The guests found themselves on board a virtual plane for an amazing flight through time, marked by eyewear. A journey created on the computer, with a vibrant sound track and a grand finale during which the "Mido" logo was lit up in flames. A trip that achieved its aim: to thrill.

And because man does not live on emotions alone, the virtual flight was preceded by a royal dinner, with catering by Area Kitchen, which was received by the unanimous applause of the guests for the quality of the food and service. Quality that had already been seen in the high standard of the cocktail that was served before the show.

And to round off the evening, all of the guests were presented with a book, 'For your eyes only', published by Logos and written by Alessandra Albarello, a freelance journalist and expert in the history of eyewear and trends, and by Francesca Joppolo, a professional journalist, cinema buff, and fan of music customs and travel.
The book embarks upon a journey, in alphabetical order rather than in chronological order, tracing the history of forty years of eyewear from A to Z.
