Milano Moda Uomo, eyewear on the catwalk
Milan is back in the limelight for men's ready-to-wear fashion.
The catwalks of Milan turn the spotlight back on a week of fashion, Milano Moda Uomo, characterized by over 110 collections distinguished by the widely acclaimed appeal of Made in Italy and extravagant proposals from over the Alps.
One thing is certain: spring summer 2008 will see men wearing clothes with exclusive cuts and materials, particularly the eyewear, more than an accessory, a fashion feature.
Allison eyewear the true protagonist of the catwalks with Richmond, Westwood and Iceberg, plus others: oversize shapes, colored lenses and ultra modern materials alternating with vintage details to complete the look of champions, with timeless elegance.
Men who are sexy, but with a touch of irony, these are the men of Frankie Morello who turns a go-cart track into a catwalk; aquatic inspiration for Alessandro dell'Acqua; with sidereal shades, white, gray and silver for John Richmond.
Missoni proposes a man with a holiday spirit tied to an image of freedom. While, in a blaze of colors and glasses, for gazes that do not want to go unnoticed, thanks to the eccentric clothes and drop-shaped mirrors, Moschino marks an important debut, above all for Allison, side by side, for the first time, with the celebrated Italian brand.
But this edition of Milano Moda Uomo will be remembered, above all, as the last fashion show for men by Gianfranco Ferrè, created, designed and conceived by the designer who was greeted by a significant turnout from the media, customers and friends for the long-awaited fashion show on Sunday 24 June.
He was reserved a standing ovation and never-ending applause at the house's Milanese location in Via Pontaccio, with the music 'La donna cannone' by De Gregori and innocent children as little angels to bring the fashion show to an end, with a moving embrace between colleagues and admirers for the fashion designer.
An embrace also shared by Allison, after years of memorable cooperation, side by side with a true genius of style. A creative force that joins the evolution of a style that is an expression of life, the power of an unmistakable mark that has already become a part of history, sealed within the memory of an everlasting image.
