Nico-design presents Derapage collection in Montreal

In collaboration with its Canadian partner Laoun, Nico-design presented the new Derapage collection at the big Formula 1 party.

The Canadian hard-rock group Dizzy Racers, whose music about cars provided the official background to the public Formula 1 Grand Prix celebrations, was the first in Canada to wear the ultra-new Tornado glasses by Derapage.

During the week prior to the race, and at the sport event, Dizzy Racers played from the roof of an open bus in the streets of the city that symbolizes Formula 1. The group wore silver mechanic's overalls with the Derapage name and the new Tornado models.

Daniel Laoun, head of Derapage distribution for Canada and Nico-design partner, said: 'We thought that Tornado deserved a launch that 'stepped on the gas': the highly technological solution of these esthetically aggressive and powerful glasses goes well with the world of speed and the technological innovation of Formula 1 races'.

Launched in 2007, Tornado are a revolution in the eyewear world: the layered one-piece, solder-free frame is achieved by the innovative assembly of three different ultra-thin steel sheets.
