Piero Massaro extends and revamps his new collection
If the first eyewear collection with murrine by the innovative designer Piero Massaro took us by surprise and amazed us, now that the collection has been extended and revamped, preserving only its sophisticated artistic sense, we could not be anything other than awestruck.
Piero Massaro continues to embrace the idea of color as an essential part of his eyewear collections, but without neglecting the contrasting effects of black and white. True works of art where shades of acetate, skillfully milled and inlaid by expert hands, are enhanced in all their splendor. Added to the fanciful plays of color are the acrobatic geometries between the concentric circles of the murrine and the parallel lines of the acetates, in a skilful weave of shapes and colors.
Of particular note is the pull-out flex core, fastened to the stems and the front piece with two screws; the core, made by expert turners from Treviso, makes the stems interchangeable.
The collection includes seven models; three sunglasses models with large, wraparound shapes and four ophthalmic models whose shapes are clearly more discreet, but just as original; as always, the collection is made almost entirely by hand, numbered and in a limited edition.
The eyewear is distributed by Italiana Design of S.ta Maria di Sala (VE) and a preview will be shown at the following opticians:
