Success for Smith at the 'Da Kine Junior&Girls Banzai Challenge 2007'

Huge success for the third edition of the classical appointment with 'Da Kine Junior & Girls', presented this year by Smith.

Held Saturday, May 5, in the best-known location in central Italy, the Smith/Da Kine Junior&Girls Banzai Challenge 2007 is the Surfing Italia prestigious national championship for the Junior & Girls category. Girls and young surfers from all over Italy battled it out right up to the very last wave!

This year Smith Optics was one of the main sponsors of the big event and the extraordinary surfers wore Smith sunglasses, which are well-known to surfing (and snowboarding) enthusiasts.

The winners of the Smith/Da Kine Junior&Girls 2007 Challenge were, for the Under-18s, Alessandro Piu, (Sardinia), for the Under-15s, Roberto D'Amico (Lazio), and for the Girls category, Valentina Vitale (Lazio).

The special 'Surf's Up Cody Style' prize for the most stylish and correct athlete in and out of the water, was awarded to Nicola Canale (Liguria). The Wild Cards for the Red Bull My Peakture photographic event were won by Alessandro Piu and Valentina Vitale.

The prizes for the winners were Smith sunglasses, chosen from the coolest models in the collection.
