Vincenzo Nibali is insatiable: 2nd consecutive winning

24 hours after his great success at the Larciano GP Industria e Artigianato (ITA), Vincenzo Nibali gives an ancore at the Giro of Tuscany. The rider dominated the race and finished winning by some seconds ahead, anticipating also two of his team mates: Franco Pellizzotti (2nd in Larciano) and Andrea Noè.

The Scopetone slope and the following descent have been crucial. At the second round, 18 km to the finish line, Nibali was among the first riders and started his attack; only José Serpa could face, but couldn't do much. The Liquigas talent then started his last decisive descent to the triumph.

«Honestly I didn't expect to achieve two consecutive victories» Nibali says «At the beginning it was quite hard, especially after Larciano efforts. But at the end, the Sport Director Mr. Chiesa told me to do everything I could, to push harder and.. he was right. In the last kilometres my legs were in very good form».

Now it's time for the Giro: «It'll be my first experience at the Giro and it's right to focus on Danilo Di Luca and Franco Pellizzotti. I'll be at their disposal». And here it is the team that will be at the starting line on the 12th May in Caprera: Di Luca, Gasparotto, Miholjevic, Nibali, Noè, Pellizzotti, Spezialetti, Vanotti e Wegelius.
