Excellent results for Rudy Project in the Triathlon
Maximum performance, maximum results. With this premise, at the 2009 edition of Ironman in Frankfurt, Rudy Project was on the first two steps of the women’s podium with Sandra Wallenhorst from Germany and Yvonne van Vlerken from Holland, and on the top step in the men’s category with Timo Bracht from Germany, who set a new record with a time of 7:59:16.
They’re called Ironmen because the discipline they have chosen is grueling and spectacular. Without any interruption whatsoever, the competitors pass from one sport to another to demonstrate their strength, resistance and coordination abilities in swimming, cycling and running. Athletes like these could not do without Rudy Project, the brand with the multisport soul and the most innovative eyewear and helmets.
During the races, athletes Wallenhorst and van Vlerken tested the very latest Wingspan helmet, engineered in a wind tunnel under the expert eyes of American aerodynamics expert John Cobb, which will be officially launched on the market in September. They also wore SportMask Performance eyewear with large wraparound lenses and a front spacer that improves ventilation and prevents fogging. Timo Bracht chose the feather-light Noyz Fluo eyewear in Grilamid, which guarantees perfect vision thanks to the special ImpactX sun lenses patented by Rudy Project and makes it easier to concentrate on the competition and aim for maximum performance.
