Intercast and Ital-lenti join to raise optician awareness about protection
Intercast Europe continues to increase its commitment to be closer to opticians by establishing an open dialogue on the opportunities offered by materials and lenses in terms of protection and vision wellbeing.
After the first seminar held last April in Birmingham, when the Parma-based company targeted opticians in the United Kingdom, thanks to the synergy with Ital-Lenti Intercast Europe is now targeting the Italian market through the appointment in Grottammare June 8.
The convention was opened by Frederic Lenfranc, PPG Optical Materials & Coatings EMEA, who placed particular emphasis on the characteristics of Trivex®, a polymer that combines strength, lightness, comfort and optical quality and is the basis of NXT® sun lenses.
The talk by Alessandro Borzino, Head of Business Development at Intercast Europe, emphasized the importance of protecting the eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. Borzino underscored that correct filtering is essential every day, but particularly during the summer and, above all, during specific sport and professional activities. The message promoted by Intercast is the use of lenses that not only protect the eyes from harmful UV rays, but also improve vision wellbeing and, as a consequence, performance outdoors thanks to the excellent quality of Trivex combined with LMT filtering.
This cycle of seminars aims to raise optician awareness about the importance of understanding the value of correct sun filters and explaining this to the end user at the time of purchase. Because they lack information, consumers frequently choose sunglasses by brand or according to the latest fashion, without considering that the main purpose of eyeglasses and lenses is to protect and improve sight.
