Oakley presents Bob Burnquist Gascan

Oakley and Bob Burnquist presented a special edition of Gascan made entirely from recycled and environment-friendly materials.

For some time now, Oakley team icon Bob Burnquist has been promoting initiatives for the protection of the environment and the planet’s natural resources for present and future generations.

What makes the new Bob Burnquist Gascan eco-friendly is the frame, which is made entirely from materials recovered from the production of other Oakley eyewear, inserts in bamboo in line with ecodesign principles, a bamboo case, ecosustainable, 100% biodegradable natural fibers from organic farming and, lastly, packaging made from recycled materials and printed with environment-friendly inks.

Featuring clean, minimalist lines, a one-piece lens in Plutonite (TM) that blocks out 100% of UV rays and the harmful blue light, this special edition combines a warm gray lens with a black frame and nature’s colors silkscreened inside the right temple.

Part of the proceeds from sales of Bob Burnquist Gascan will go to Action Sports Environmental Coalition (ASEC), an organization set up by some of the greatest action sports champions to raise public awareness about respecting the environment also in sport.
