Oakley Special Edition for Lorenzo and Dovizioso
Jorge Lorenzo of the Fiat Yamaha team, teammate of world champion Valentino Rossi, and Andrea Dovizioso of the Repsol Honda team are the two young riders taking part in the 2009 MotoGP season. Specifically for them, Oakley has decided to make two sun models to celebrate their great talent.
Antix was chosen by Jorge Lorenzo, the youngest rider in the history of MotoGP and now at Valentino’s side in the Yamaha team; both are on the list for winning the title of Champion.
ANTIX eyewear chosen by the Spaniard features a single large lens in Plutonite with a lightweight frame in ultra-strong O-Matter and optimized by the patented High Definition Optics (HDO) technology that considerably improves peripheral vision and makes it ideal for riders like Jorge, who is not used to having anything or anyone covering his view. HDO technology applied to lenses also guarantees that Lorenzo will have rested and protected eyes before putting on his helmet and concentrating on the track.
This special edition also features the Oakley logo set into the frame in blue in honor of the Japanese team’s colors.
Andrea Dovizioso, the twenty-two-year-old from Romagna who this year became the official rider for the Repsol Honda team, wears sun model Oil Rig. Decisive eyewear with strong lines and HDO technology for extremely sharp and comfortable vision.
Made in black O-Matter, an extremely light and ultra-strong material, the eyewear features the Oakley icon in orange, in honor of his team’s colors, set into the temples with a geometrical and three-dimensional effect. The lenses are in Plutonite, a patented ultra-strong material that will protect the eyes from impact at high speeds and also give 100% protection from UV rays and the harmful blue light.
