Partnership between Spy Optic and race car driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Spy Optic has announced its new partnership with driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the Dirty Mo model.
Named after the driver’s birthplace, Mooresville in North Carolina, Dirty Mo is a line of sunglasses designed for people who live in the fast lane. Made from high-quality Italian materials, their lines are sporty, clean and aggressive and feature Earnhardt Jr.’s signature inside the temples. The Dirty Mo line has characteristic metal inserts, eight strong fixing pins, 100% UVA, B and C protection, unbreakable lenses and polycarbonate lenses. This model comes in five different colors (crystal gray with brown inserts, metallic black, shiny black and shiny white) and with Spy’s Premium Trident lens technology. The suggested price is 100 Euros for traditional models and 140 Euros for those with polarized lenses.
“I am very pleased to sign the new sunglasses” Dale Earnhardt Jr. said. “Dirty Mo has leading-edge design and technology. I am extremely happy with the result. I found out about Spy sunglasses thanks to my friend, driver Boris Said, and since then I haven’t worn anything else. I like their look, their fit and the way Spy is always developing new ideas”.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a world famous race car driver who already boasts 18 wins, including the 2004 Daytona 500 (the most important race in the NASCAR season which takes place every year at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida and guarantees major earnings and cash prizes). Apart from his technical ability, Dale is at the top of the classification for popularity: he has been chosen six times by fans at the races as the most popular NASCAR driver and has had the honor of constantly appearing among the top ten most popular American athletes compiled annually by Harris Interactive, the renowned research and consultancy company, expert in strategic business and consumer observation.
“Spy Optic is enthusiastic about working with Dale Earnhardt Jr., one of the most popular racing drivers of all times” stated Stone Douglass, CEO of Spy Optic. “Dale isn’t just a great NASCAR driver, he’s also creative and an intelligent entrepreneur with a great sense of style”.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has joined the list of Spy athletes, which includes legendary seven-times Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath, world famous surfer Clay Marzo, Olympic snowboard champion Todd Richards, the popular skier Tom Wallisch and wakeboarder Parks Bonifay.
