Mario Boselli re-elected Chairman of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana
Mario Boselli has been unanimously re-elected to the Chair of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (the National Chamber for Italian Fashion). Four new members have been appointed to the Board of Directors: Anna Zegna, Jacopo Etro, Carlo Capasa and Laudomia Pucci.
Boselli, now in his fourth term of office, has reason to be satisfied: all the resolutions of this morning’s meeting - including the financial statement - were passed unanimously, illustrating the strong cohesion that marks the atmosphere during this phase at the association in via Morone.
Among the guidelines for the coming months, Boselli underscores three points: “The opening of the Chamber to fast fashion, a special focus on the web, the risks it entails and above all the opportunities it offers, and commitment to issues such as eco-sustainability and fair trade.”
However, the main pilaster of the Chamber’s future policy, as Boselli had already divulged, will be an enhanced liaison between the Chairman and the Board, also on the strength of the “outstanding names just appointed”. In other words, as he explains, “delegations, delegations, delegations”. And then he clarifies: “This is a reciprocal requirement: I need more help, and I feel that among the directors there is a strongly-felt desire to participate.”
Reconfirmed as members of the Board are: Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, Michael Burke, Patrizio Di Marco, Stefano Dominella, Massimo Ferretti, Maria Luisa Gavazzeni Trussardi, Giovanna Gentile Ferragamo, Paolo Gerani, Giorgio Guidotti, Vittorio Missoni, Saverio Moschillo, Stefano Sassi and Carla Sozzani.
