Police NXT® photochromic
Totally new in the 2009 vision collection by Police was the introduction of frames in the super-tech polymer NXT®, a latest generation material with excellent optical properties. The 2010 vision collection by Police is amazing because it has combined NXT® performance with a PHOTOCHROMIC front piece.
When exposed to UV rays, the glass front piece darkens and changes color. When light fades, the front piece gradually returns to its original color and transparency.
As you would expect from a brand as contemporary and creative as Police, this excellent and innovative effect which, until now, has been used exclusively for sun lenses, has been applied to the eyewear frame.
The NXT® technological platform is extremely functional when it comes to frame making: it is totally shatterproof, has an excellent memory capability, total resistance to chemicals and the absolutely innovative characteristic of being 100% bio-compatible. In fact, NXT® releases no chemicals that are harmful to the skin, it does not interact with UV rays, perspiration or cosmetics and for this reason it does not alter, degenerate or age.
Police NXT® PHTOCHROMIC comes in three different shapes: one with a retro style, a Seventies front piece and very fine temples in plastic for really great comfort; the other two are more modern and high-tech, with metal temples. In addition to the photochromic variant, all the models in NXT® offer a vast palette of colors ranging from red to purple, anthracite and cream.
