Rudy Project ready for Vancouver

Rudy Project ready for Vancouver

There’s just under a month to go before the start of the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, February 12 through 28, and at the Rudy Project headquarters everything is ready to repeat the success of 2006. In Turin Rudy Project won 45 medals (18 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze), a highly prestigious result for the company that competed with over 180 athletes of all nationalities.

Also at the 21st edition of the Winter Olympics Rudy Project will be the protagonist with athletes from various countries, including Germany, Finland, Estonia, Czech Republic, Spain and, of course, Italy. The most famous names include cross-country skier Giorgio Di Centa, gold medalist in the 50 km and 4x10 km relay at the 2006 Turin Olympics, who will bear the Italian flag in Canada and lead the national team at the opening ceremony.

As well as the cross-country skier from Friuli, other big names in Nordic skiing are participating in the Games such as Arianna Follis, Marianna Longa and Cristian Zorzi, Germany’s René Sommerfeld and Alex Teichmann, Sweden’s Anna Haag and Norgrenn Britta, in addition to two-times Olympic speed-skating champion Enrico Fabris and Germany’s Michael Rösch, on the first step of the podium for the 4x7.5 km relay in Turin 2006.

According to unconfirmed reports, the model preferred by the Rudy Project athletes taking part in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver is Noyz Fluo, which has excellent technical characteristics. Easily recognized by its Technicolor look, it can be fitted with the special ImpactX sun lenses or the exclusive ImpactRX vision/sun lenses that guarantee exceptional efficiency, comfort and safety. Even athletes who need optical correction are free at last to focus 100% on competing.
