Silhouette: 10 years with NASA

Silhouette: 10 years with NASA

The lightest eyewear in the world went into orbit again, this time onboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour, which completed its mission Monday, February 22 and landed safely at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The crew left Cape Canaveral February 8 for the International Space Station, where they stayed for about 2 weeks.

For the entire space shuttle mission, three of the six astronauts wore the super-light prescription frames by Silhouette and benefited from vision experiences without limits.

The three astronauts chose different looks: Mission Specialist Kathryn Hire and Stephen Robinson chose Titan Next Generation III, whereas the commander, George Zamka, went for the iconic Silhouette Titan Minimal Art.

This year is the tenth anniversary of Silhouette’s collaboration with NASA and with the STS-130 mission it will be celebrating its 29th journey to outer-space!
