Vision Business Forum: news
The second edition of Vision Business Forum at the Cavalieri Hilton in Rome June 18 – 20 is beginning to define the program for the plenary session of the appointment scheduled for Sunday, June 20.
Important international speakers will take the stage to give an outline of our market and help us to make a critical interpretation of what is happening. Ample time will also be given to workshops and direct contact with operators, professionals and exhibiting companies.
Moderator Sebastiano Barisoni, an expert on stock markets and finance and news editor-in-chief of Radio 24, is the presenter of the daily appointment Focus on the Economy, News, figures and analyses of the day’s economic and financial scenario.
Vision Business Forum opens its doors Sunday, June 20, with Anfao and Mido President Vittorio Tabacchi on stage with the president of Assogruppi Ottica, Andrea Garagnani. Together they will inaugurate the work at the Rome appointment and symbolically undersign the solidarity of the optical industry.
The day begins by getting to the heart of the present and future of the optical market with focus on Europe thanks to talks by Antoni Olivella, President of Eurom, the European Federation of Precision Mechanical and Optical Industries, and by Wolfgang Cagnolati, President of ECOO, the European Council of Optometry. Two different points of view, industry and optometry, for a closer look at the development of our most relevant relationships.
Another in-depth discussion in the morning concerns the quality of sun lenses and the need for correct consumer information. Information that necessarily implies a close look at counterfeiting. Next to speak will be attorney Daniela Mainini, President of the Anti-counterfeiting Study Center, for many years with Anfao - the Italian Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers - in its battle in this field. This will also be the occasion for the exclusive presentation of the first national anti-counterfeiting day.
In the afternoon, work will be devoted to an in-depth look at the importance of correct vision when driving and, to close, to a round table with all the reference associations in our sector (industry, distribution and consumers) as the main players. Speaking at the round table will be Giancarlo Marano – Director of Health Protection Office II at the Ministry of Health: an important testimony to the institutions’ considerable interest in the optical segment.
Vision Business Forum’s in-depth courses, CME accredited, will be available online exclusively for participating optometrists. The titles: Vision and Driving, An Approach to the Sale of Progressive Lenses, Rehabilitation Techniques for Low Vision, Filters for Improving Vision Function, Sun Protection.
The June appointment at Vision Business Forum in Rome is a unique opportunity to discuss important current themes. Participation is free and the invitation is extended to all sector operators and professionals.
