Eyewear museum: an agreement for enhancing the Belluno eyewear industry

Eyewear museum: an agreement for enhancing the Belluno eyewear industry

Connecting young people and the school world to their culture and history: this is the aim of the agreement signed today by Vittorio Tabacchi, president of the Fondazione Museo dell'Occhiale Onlus, and Domenico Martin, director of the Ufficio Scolastico Territoriale in Belluno.

The understanding promoted by the Museum will involve all levels as it represents a huge heritage. Not only does it testifies to, preserves and enhances the past, but it can also arouse interest of young people, schools and the territory of today and tomorrow in eyewear, optics, technology and eyewear design.

The Museum’s rich heritage is an inestimable source of inspiration for the creation of initiatives and teaching programs on the historical, cultural and social aspects that testify to the development of the manufacturing sector, design, traditions, technology and techniques.

The Museum represents a future reference point to make local population aware of the importance of going back to professions linked to the world of eyewear and optics as well as to develop such subjects as style and fashion design.
