New Frency & Mercury eyewear

Icona Occhiali came straight from Japan to Florence, at the refined Pitti Immagine Uomo menswear show, with the new Limited Edition “Be Real, Be Rock” by Frency & Mercury: the latest frontier of eyewear conceived and planned exclusively by the talented Japanese stylist, Eque M.

“Handmade eyewear is a new dimension in elegance and craftsmanship and must make men and women feel special by defining their look and personality” – the Japanese stylist explained. “Through this new Limited Edition inspired by timeless energy and unstoppable rock, we wanted to bring our alternative and highly experimental approach to contemporary eyewear to the most prestigious and cosmopolitan showcase of the latest in menswear”.
Made by hand in Japan with meticulously selected materials, the new Frency & Mercury models continue to make the difference thanks to innovative shapes, contemporary and future-oriented design. With the claim “Be Real, Be Rock!”, only 40 pairs of these limited edition models for men and women have been created for the Italian market.

The model “Act Up!” for men is in 100% titanium, is entirely handmade in Japan and features mirrored lenses in the fashion summer colors – yellow and military green. There is also a version in black edged with gold, and matte gold edged in white.
The model for women is also original. “KISS KISS! BANG BANG!” is in titanium, totally handmade in Japan and comes in matte chocolate and antique gunmetal. Both have 8mm acetate end pieces to balance the weight of the eyewear on the nose.

The top part of the frame features fine artisan workmanship. Presented for the first time in Florence, the models for men and women in this special edition have Seiko lenses in mirrored yellow and green Nylon. Frency & Mercury products are sold in Italy through a selected network of optical and fashion stores specializing in the work of emerging designers.
