Official announcement: Sandro Kichelmacher leaves the Group

After over 60 years of “honorable service” in the world of optics, Sandro Kichelmacher has decided to take a well-earned rest. He has written many pages over the years, mainly in the contact lenses sector.

The last, and certainly not the least important, page was written with the Free Optik Group.
He founded the Group 18 years ago and during that time he made it one of Italy’s most important groups with over 200 associated opticians.

At the Annual General Meeting for Board renewal April 3, Sandro Kichelmacher made the official announcement. All the members present expressed their heartfelt thanks with a warm and moving ovation.

Elected at the General Meeting by a very large majority, new president Marco Kichelmacher confided that: “I am aware that I had a considerable advantage over the other candidates as a consequence of everything my father represented for the Free Optik Group. The task that awaits me is a difficult one, but it will be even more stimulating because of that”.
“I am certain”, he added “that the almost total renewal of the Board of Directors I proposed together with my candidacy will instill the Group with new energy for continuing the good work that has been done over the years”.
