XTRActive lenses now in Italy

Transitions XTRActive lenses are the best answer to photochromic lenses that are worn mainly outdoors and, above all, they are the first that react to visible light and not just UV rays inside a car. They are the darkest of Transitions’ lenses and will become as dark as traditional sunglasses: 90% tint at 23°C and even at high temperatures: 80% tint at 35°C. The new Transitions XTRActive lenses are the first to darken from behind a car windshield: adapting to UV rays and visible light, they provide some tint for comfortable driving – up to 50% at 27°C.

Optovista immediately added this great new product on the Italian market to its range of Orlite traditional monofocal prescription lenses and the Free-Form Exist versions.

Specifically, Exist XTRActive lenses can be ordered in the two Exist Panorama versions, with full field of vision and thickness optimized as a function of the shape and type of eyewear, and Exist Slim version, with recalculated power and a smaller optical zone with connected internal aspheric/atoric curvature for thickness optimized and reduced by over 30% compared to lenses in the same material.

Thanks to Optivista’s in-house Free-Form manufacturing laboratories, all latest-generation progressive lenses can be made in the dynamic Transitions XTRActive Gray version, from the top of the range - Egoist Exacta internal progressive lenses totally personalized and with recalculated power - to Egoist Idea Free-Form lenses with IST technology, to the new OPS EVO, high-definition, internal progressive lenses. For a better cosmetic result and to extend the life of the lenses, Optovista always recommends combining them with a good antiglare treatment: for index 1.6 lenses, for example, it advises the new Hard Brilliance coating, which successfully passed all wear tests and guarantees scratch resistance that is decidedly higher than average.
